Nothing inspires the world like a world leader who is actively engaged with what is happening around the world. But have you ever asked yourself why we wear the mask while Donald Trump doesn’t?
Well, today we will look at the reasons why we actually wear the mask while the current leader of the world, president Donald Trump does not. This is despite the skyrocketing cases of coronavirus in the United States and other parts of the world.
Firstly, to address the elephant in the room: Why We Wear The Mask, it is to protect ourselves, our loved ones and other members of the public from contracting the deadly coronavirus that has been declared a world pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Covid-19 has infected more than 15 million people world-wide and and killed at least 700,000 people.
Masks provides a barrier for infected saliva and other bodily droplets coughed or sneezed by others from entering our respiratory system. That is basically the reason why we wear the mask and the most effective mask out there against covid-19 is the N-95 mask.

Surprisingly, the bulky of these deaths come from Donald Trump’s country, the United States of America that has more than 4.5 covid-19 confirmed cases with more than 75,000 new infections every day.
Donald Trump has said that Coronavirus is just a flu and that it will clear out on its own. He said this in February 2020 when the deadly virus had infected a handful of American citizens nationwide and downplayed the necessity of closing down the American economy to curb the further spread of the disease. Back then, it was affecting mostly China, Italy and Iran.
Donald Trump implemented a ban on visitors from the above countries from entering the United States. Whereas his advisers urged him to take the disease seriously, Mr. Trump said that his government will bring the deadly virus under control soon. Of course we know that did not happen up to this date as the disease continue to wreck havoc across the country.
Whereas Donald Trump has shied away from wearing masks, most Americans understand the health risks paused by the novel coronavirus, and hence wear the mask.

Although more Americans have embraced the idea of wearing a mask, it is worth noting that the number of people wearing masks in the United States pales when compared to China. More Chinese wear face covering in an attempt to protect themselves from coronavirus than their U.S. counterparts. This could be attributed to early misleading information from Donald Trump and other U.S. officials that wearing masks did not help in the fight against covid-19.
There has been wide believe that health officials discourage the American public from wearing the mask during the initial stages of the coronavirus infections in the USA in order to discourage the public from hoarding on medical grade masks, hence depriving healthcare staff the supply of masks.
